As a kid,what did you want to be when you grew up? At first I wanted to be a singer. Then I wanted to be like my dad who I idolize and join the bank.
What is one thing people maybe surprised to find out about you? People are usually scared to come up and talk to me because I look the quiet, serious type. Which is kinda ironic because when we finally meet they get all surprised and end up telling me that I’m full of sarcasm and probably the most talkative person they’ve ever met. The other thing they’re really surprised about is that I do have a large sense of humor. I try and find humor in any situation I’m in and just laugh everything off, which is why I probably look content most of the time.
Describe your favorite childhood memory? It would definitely be being around my friends and family back home, playing games like hide and seek, police and robber and rounders in the village playground or hiding in the mangrove areas by the river banks (which was always clean by the way), disguising ourselves so we wouldn’t get caught, going on adventurous fishing trips with the bigger kids catching a lot of fish, then cooking it on the fire that we built by the sea and building our own camps. Running around with our water guns and little water balloons or jugs of water and dousing anyone we could before getting in trouble. Sand boarding down the biggest sand dune hill competing who could go the fastest and furthest and then going to the beach to get all the sand off. I miss it all a lot, because now everyone’s all grown up and away from home or married with kids.
