“Jonathan and I went away for a weekend adventure to the countryside. After an afternoon spent climbing trees and swinging on vines, the sun started to set, changing the light from a beautiful warm glow to cool silver, the wind picked up and the leaves started to dance. It was very much a transition form summer into fall happening before my eyes. Jonathan was walking out of the woods, energized from climbing and covered in dirt here and there and scratched up a bit. I had moments to capture these portraits, because as soon as the magic light came, it went and sun continued to disappear. It was a beautiful moment and some of my favorite pictures from late summer.” – Samantha West
