What’s something in your hometown you think every visitor should do or see?
I’m from Ocean Beach and for those who’ve been there know it’s a super local beach town and everyone knows everyone. You could walk down the street in sweatpants and someone will high five you and say you look great then invite you to go see their show at the local bar. It’s just a fun vibe and people there are so carefree. I always love going back because it reminds me not everything is a big deal and to just relax and enjoy life for what it is. Plus the food there is amazinggggg! The only place you can get a great California burrito is in San Diego and if you’ve never had one it’ll blow your mind and you’ll message me thanking me that I introduced it into your life. So I recommend everyone to visit!! Especially people in the fashion industry because some of those homies need a serious chill pill, haha.
What is one thing people may be surprised to find out about you?
To be honest I’m just a dork that somehow fell into modeling. A lot of models like going to big fashion parties and taking a million Instagram pictures of themselves and I’m the complete opposite. I’d rather shop at thrift stores, go hang at a pub with my friends or go see a show or play pool. Oh, and I also LOVE movies and tv shows. Grew up watching stuff with my family, so my grandpa will text me saying “dude, did you see the new X-Files?” and I’ll be like, “not yet, but have you seen Deadpool!! Wuttt!!”. All my friends are equally as dorky, so when we all get together it’s hilarious.
What do you see yourself doing after your modelling career?
After modeling I narrowed it down to a few things I would like to do. I really want to own an art space where people can shoot, paint, sculpt or do whatever they want, as long as their doing something creative. My favorite thing to do is to put a shoot together and just create cool fucking art with my friends. I have a close friend that has a really good eye for visuals and we both love doing creative art direction for projects. I think one day I would also like to start a magazine with her just displaying great underground artists from around the world. Wouldn’t be for profit, no ads, just a book of amazing talent to inspire people to start creating their own work. I have a lot of things I want to do, but I can’t put it into a few words, so I gotta stop here because soon I’ll start going on a full rant.
